Hop on Pop

Last weekend the older two kiddos had sleepovers at friends houses and that left Katie home with us. I went to feed the baby breakfast and this is what I came back to. A giggling Katie and Lewis crying out for help. Notice the temp tattoos on Katie's arms :)

Once again the friends are reunited.

"You Are so Slacking..."

That was what I heard when I talked to Lewis the other day. I was scolded for falling behind so I am sorry about the length of this post but it is everything that I have since the last post.

This was a common scene during the blizzard of 2010. Too cold to do much the kiddos cuddled with Dad on the couch and then something yummy usually followed. We made too many cookies, blueberry bread and such :)

Nattie and Harry are great friends. Ok maybe not but she loves to find him and lay on him and he tolerates it for a little bit and then gets up and leaves. Go Harry for being so sweet to our Monkey:)

This little baby was so great to find. I wanted one of these but they were not still available in the stores. I did get lucky and find them on the eve of the blizzard and at Five Below.

Loved this icicle.

Kristen sent these cute bags that she made to Katie and Ashley for Valentine's Day. So Adorable!!

Natalie always has to be in the thick of all the action.

White Out :(

Well this is at about 8:30am this morning. No visibility, I think that my kiddos are never gonna go back to school :) Oh well. I think that today we will make some valentines cookies and then it wouldn't be complete unless we eat some. Ash and I have been sewing and I will try to post some of the projects later.

We caught Natter-Pie playing music yesterday. I love that he little tongue is out in all the pics.

A New Dishwasher

This sweet girl is now 10 months old. I know that it is hard to believe that she is almost a year old but she is. She has finally cut a tooth just one, and she will not let anyone touch it or anything.
Today she decided that she needed to help me with the dishes.

She is such a great joy and I am so grateful that she is part of our family.

The Sun is Shinning!!!

Today we saw the sun. It won't last long because we are supposed to get more snow Tuesday and Wednesday. But it was so great to see the sun shinning out today.
This was what the front of the house looks like. We officially have 25 inches in the shallow places and 30 inches in the deeper spots.

Lookie what I found Honey!!!
After about 7 hours of shoveling we got to the van. And yes I said we, I shoveled side by side with my sweet hubby.

I thought that it looked like the van got an Elvis hairdo.

We got to the front door and the other side of the driveway will have to wait till tomorrow.
The lump front of the neighbors house is his car :(

I know that Natter's face is dirty, but this is how we see her a lot around here. Her tongue sticking out is a common appearance, I think that it means that she is concentrating.

A 2:30 Update

Here is a picture of Natter-Pie and Daddy, he thought that she needed to see the snow. I know there has been a lack of pictures of her lately, sorry.
For all of you warm and cozy in ABQ, know that we wish that that is where we were right now. Here is an update as of 2:30 this afternoon.

I laid Natters down for a nap and then opened the door and this is what I found. We now have 20 inches of snow!!! Can you believe that?!?! I am so feeling the love here. We are all bundled up and with the wind it is 15 degrees out. I told the kids that as soon as the wind dies down we can play in the snow. They are really antsy about it, like driving Mommy crazy kind of antsy :)

Here is the 20" on the quilting ruler.

At about 10:00 this morning Lewis dug a trench to his car and then it has snowed just about 5" since then; as shown on the marker below. And YES it is still snowing.

I will go out and take a few pics before dark to show how the snow has piled up since now.

I Looked out the Window and What did I See??

Over a foot of snow out front, and in back too!! The measurement was taken just outside the garage door, and I know that it is deeper in other parts of the yard, I think I measured in the shallow part..

This picture was out Ashley's window.

Okay, I had to post this even though it is not our house. If you look at the lump in the middle on the right; that is their car!!! I feel so bad, we are gonna have to help them dig it out next week.

This is taken from right at the front door.
Well, this storm is still going and we are supposed to expect another 4-6 inches of snow today and then the temps are not supposed to get above 28 till sometime next week. To top it off there is another storm in the works that should dump more snow on Tuesday and Wednesday.

A Harry Situation

For those that do not remember we added Harry to our family last Christmas. He is a sweet, fat cat and we love him. Lately with all the snow and storms we have been running our space heater all the time!!! It is a pain but better than being cold. Anyway, Harry love to lay by it.

He even reaches out and places his paw in the dish. I would think that it would be way too hot for that but he continues to do it all the time :) So I thought that I would share some warm footage with you all.

What Do You Get??

While making a triple batch of pizza dough in my wonderful mixer I accidentally dropped my good 1 cup measuring cup in the bowl. A split second later the mixer seized up and after I turned it off, this is what I pulled out.
Sad huh?!?!?

I looked out the Window/Snow Day #2

So after the long weekend we woke up to this yesterday. Lots of snow and lots of fun.

Now before I get any angry emails. Austin had had on his jacket but was going inside and I asked for a quick pic before he quit for the morning.

So as of right now VA is in a state of emergency awaiting the big storm to hit tomorrow. Schools have closed already and there isn't even any snow coming yet. They are expecting 12- 24 inches and winds up to 20 miles and hour. We are all set for the weekend inside :) Wish us luck.

Snow Day #1

Last Friday it snowed and the kiddos had a long weekend since there was a teacher work day on both Friday and Monday. We went sledding at my friend, Kim's, house on Saturday and the kids had a blast!

My Boys

These two are really special to me. They are the men in my life. I am so lucky to have them here to take care of me and the girls in my life.

I loved these pictures of Lewis. I rarely get a good picture of him since he is such a doof ball. I love him so much and hope that he knows how much I appreciate all that he does for me.
LOVE YOU SWEETIE!!
