Tonight

This is what happens when I give Monkey a bath. Everyone thinks that it is time to go and horse around in the kitchen.

Exhibit A.

And yes Monkey is 8 months old :)

My girls are so sweet.

Monkey Update

Well, I thought that I would let you all know how Monkey is doing. I took her in yesterday to the clinic to get some meds for a cold that she has and they told me that she weighs 21lbs. 10ozs. and was nearly 28in. long (and she isn't even 8 months yet!). HOLY MONKEY!!! What a little chunker :) She loves green beans and bananas with oatmeal, and this morning was standing up in her crib when I went in to get her. She can turn on her mobile and fish tank in her crib and is pulling herself all over the place. She is such a joy and we are so lucky to have her in our family!

Here is Monkey in the sink, where she gets her baths. I try to get her one every night but it is more like every other night that she actually gets one. She has a lot of fun with the wash rag and cup, and really likes splashing the bubbles until they are all gone.

7 Months Already!

Monkey is 7 months old already! I can hardly believe it!!! She is become mobile and is army crawling all over the place. I liked this picture since she was trying to crawl away to eat the leaves.

New School Pics

I was so upset with the kids school pics that they participated in re-takes today. While I was looking at the pics I realized even re-takes might not get me what I wanted so I took some shots before school. I was really happy with how they turned out.

I had to sit Natalie in the driveway and not by the house since she just wanted to eat everything on the ground. She is such a little stinker :)

Who's That???

It was really dark when we left so we took some pictures at the church. We have GI Joe, a Rock Star, Obi Wan Kenobi, and a Skeleton. Katie loved her costume and the beard. People thought that she was a cross between Obi Wan and Princess Leah.

Carving

So we did better this year and actually made it to get pumpkins but they almost did not get carved. We had a crazy week and I had an errand to run right before the carnival. When I came home, this is what I found....

A Carving party!!! Sorry there are not more pics of the actual process and the outcome but we were nutty, nuts to try and get them done before the party.

This was the favorite.

Rings on Monkey

We were sitting the other night with the Missionaries and our friends the Warner's for a lesson for Tim Warner's baptism. Lewis was sitting at the table with the baby and she was fussy so I put a handful of Cheerios on her tray and Lewis started licking them and sticking them to her forehead. It was really funny but now all the kiddos think that this is a good idea. She doesn't mind too much and just eats them off her face.

FHE

Tonight for Family Home Evening we took the kids to the pumpkin patch over by the church and they all got to pick a pumpkin. I love watching them run all over trying to one-up each others pumpkins. After we settled up with the owner we went off for the traditional celebratory hot chocolate. Fun, fun :)

A Monkey and Temple Pics

The other day I went in to get Monkey and she looked like this. We are still curious how she got her arm out but at least she was happy :)

Saturday evening we went to the Temple Visitors Center with a friend from church and her family. It was stormy when we went in and then dark when we came out. Not the best pics but these are my favorites.

I loved the reflection in this one.

More Sewing

I am having "sew" much fun making these little shoes! I really love the micro-fiber ones above. They are totally washable but they look leather.

This is my new "go to" baby gift blanket. With the patchwork 4-square on the top and then the fleece on the back with satin blanket binding. SO cozy.

Here are a few favorites. I also updated their pics on the sidebar. They are different than what is posted here. Enjoy!!

Good Morning Beautiful

Sorry the pictures are a little dark but the flash was way too much light on her. But this is the sight I see every morning. She always has the blanket in her mouth and is so happy.

It's been Sew Long

I apologize for the tardiness in posting but I have been tackling the pile of fabric pictured above as well as helping teach my friend to sew.

These new baby shoes are my new addictions. They are simple but oh-so-cute! I enlarged the pattern to make a pair for Natalie but they looked like clown shoes, I have tweaked the pattern and am now really happy with it.

Since Natalie is sitting up I wanted to get a cart cover to help keep all the icky bugs out of her mouth. This pattern too was tweaked. I am happy to report that it fits resturant highchairs, regular shopping carts, and even the Costco carts.

These are my new favorite baby blankets. They are fairly simple to make, which is the only way that I can sew lately with Natalie. So as soon as the kiddos get over the tummy bug that they seem to have then I will take and post some new pictures of them.

Side note: Natalie went in for her 6 month appointment on Tuesday and she now weighs 18lbs. 8oz., and is 26 inches long. Such a sweet temperament she has :)

Sitting Pretty

Natalie has learned a new trick; she can sit up. She has been working on this for about a week and is now no longer all wobbly. She sits and plays on the floor, and eventually ends up on her back eating her toes.

Where Natalie goes, so does Rex.

I swear she loves them toes :)

"Bow-dacious"

When Natalie was born Anna sent her a sent of headbands and bows. I totally love them and since she just upgraded (size) her wardrobe, she needed bows to match the new colors. So, here by request are the new bows. I do seem to add on an almost daily basis, so we shall see how many we end up with in the end.

On a side note, Ashley got her 1st test back today and got a 13/12!!! She was so excited I promised to blog about it. Way to go Ash!!!

A Scouting We Will Go

Tonight was Austin's first Cub Scout activity. It was a pack meeting so the whole family went and it was a lot of fun. Austin is really excited to be a scout and got home and wanted to start working on his Bobcat.

Austin showing me how silly he is when he is excited about something.
